SHIRT-SLEEVE WEATHER

Shirt-sleeve weather - warm enough not to wear a jacket

e.g.

It was decidedly shirt-sleeve weather, and all across the region yesterday, people doffed their jackets and overcoats to take a walk, appreciate spring's blooms and otherwise enjoy a day that reached 73 degrees in Central Park.

PUT AWAY

Yes, anonymous student, put away may be used to mean confine in jail.

e.g.

I hired a contractor to put new tiles in my kitchen. He took $500.00 and I never saw him again. He should be put away. Or, at least be driven out of business.

or

Dunno. It’s fine. Nbd. I’m all good. Just hanging out here in the hospital.

Riles, that’s horrible. I’m so sorry. I hope they put away that bastard who hurt you.

MILF

A word of caution

This term is regarded to be offensive by some people. Others don't mind the use of this acronym.

But, does it mean?

M I L F

An acronym - Mom I'd Like to Fuck - an expression of sexual desire.

An older woman who is beautiful and sexy (also to younger men)
